Incrusted Seeds GOLD GREEN STAR® is the new line of seeds from Matsuda, the first forage seed technology that combines environmental sustainability with profitability. GOLD GREEN STAR® seeds feature a unique and unprecedented technology in Brazil: the first microplastic-free (MPF) incrustation technology protected with microorganisms that aid in controlling soil nematodes and fungi. The seeds are coated with organominerals free from the presence of microplastics, an innovative and environmentally sustainable technology.
All seeds are treated with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, bacteria capable of colonizing the soil and roots, forming a physical and chemical barrier, directly and indirectly protecting plants from soil-borne pathogens. They promote a better interaction between the environment and the crop, as well as interaction with other beneficial microorganisms, leading to improved biological soil quality and nutrient absorption, promoting better plant development and increased productivity. Additionally, incrustation ensures that microorganisms remain viable for a long time in the seeds, guaranteeing the efficiency of biological treatment against attacks from Heterodera glycines, Meloidogyne incognita, Meloidogyne javanica, Pratylenchus brachyurus, Helicotylenchus dihystera, Fusarium verticillioides, and Macrophomina phaseolina.
Seed incrustation is developed with Incotec technology, a global leader in seed treatment and coating, bringing the best of pasture seed technology to rural producers. Only seeds with a high degree of purity are used, which are processed in the Seed Processing Unit using various equipment for selection by size, weight, and even color, with machines equipped with photoelectric sensors. All seeds undergo scarification, increasing the purity percentage of the batch, eliminating low-vigor or poorly formed seeds, improving germination, and uniformity.
